Devonport High School started almost 100 years ago as one of three Tasmanian schools, exclusively for academic students who had to sit an entrance exam to be able to attend. Through time our school has transformed into a comprehensive co-educational secondary facility catering for the needs of twenty first century learners. Steeped in tradition, our school community places great importance on high academic achievement. Our students are offered an extensive range of learning experiences and are encouraged to value education and become life long learners.
Students of all abilities are catered for through a range of curriculum opportunities and International students make up part of the student population. All students have access to the latest educational and technological approaches as our teachers continually expand their teaching methodology, via intensive professional learning opportunities. If you would like more details of school life, clarification of any information or wish to view the school and its facilities, please contact the Principal for an appointment.
